About Hope Valley Inc

Hope Valley Inc is a nonprofit, family-run treatment center in Dobson, North Carolina, offering gender-specific residential care for adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Their men’s program is a 22-bed campus in Dobson, and women stay at a separate 8-bed farmhouse campus in nearby Pilot Mountain. Both settings are home-like rather than institutional, built on the idea of giving people a safe place to do hard work. They treat alcohol, opioid, stimulant, and dual diagnosis concerns, and their CARF-accredited continuum runs from residential treatment to step-down Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) and a Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP).

Each client gets a personalized plan that draws on the Matrix Model, cognitive behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, 12-Step facilitation, relapse prevention planning, and person-centered counseling. Residents attend four groups or classes a day and five AA/NA meetings a week, working with dually licensed counselors, many of whom are in recovery themselves. Every other Saturday, families can take part in a counselor-led program grounded in Al-Anon and Nar-Anon principles, and aftercare includes weekly evening support groups and continued individual sessions. They are also a state-certified DWI provider, handling assessments, ADETS and longer education classes, and 508 form submission, with insurance, self-pay, and state-funded beds available for those who qualify.
