Here’s Help, Inc. is a long-running South Florida substance use treatment provider, with a North Campus in Opa-locka near Miami and a separate South Campus, serving the community for more than five decades. They use a self-help, behavior-modification philosophy grounded in a 12-step or similar support system, and they address all types of drug and alcohol addiction, including co-occurring mental health concerns. Care includes a 24-hour residential program for males ages 13 to 35, outpatient treatment for males and females 13 and older, and in-home counseling. Clients with withdrawal symptoms need to finish detox before entering residential care, and fees are set according to income and household size, so many clients pay little or nothing.

Residential stays typically last four to six months and combine individual, group, and family therapy with case management, psycho-educational programming, medical and psychological care, relapse prevention, and continuing care counseling. Residents attend full-time accredited schooling, plus vocational classes such as culinary arts, handyman skills, computer tech, graphic design, photography, and GED preparation, along with job-readiness help, vocational placement, and recreation on an on-site athletic field. The outpatient track is built around a 16-week model that uses motivational enhancement therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, with group sessions once or twice a week, individual counseling at least twice a month, and completion based on earned points and treatment goals. For people who struggle with transportation, counselors provide one-on-one therapy and drug testing at home, and the program is CARF-accredited and tracks outcomes such as treatment completion and staying arrest-free after discharge.
