About Health Solutions

Health Solutions is a nonprofit community medical and behavioral health provider serving southern Colorado, with a location in Walsenburg alongside centers in Pueblo and Trinidad. They have served the region since 1962 and take a whole-person approach that brings mental health, physical health, and substance use care together. At their rural locations, including Walsenburg, they offer individual, couples, and family therapy, substance use treatment, medication services, emergency assistance, and play therapy for young children. New and returning clients, both youth and adults, can start through Open Access enrollment, which includes a full assessment and treatment recommendations either in person or by tele-video.

Their dedicated addiction program, Crestone Recovery, is based in Pueblo and provides general outpatient care, intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), relapse prevention, and integrated care for co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions. Crestone also runs DUI education and therapy licensed by the Colorado Division of Behavioral Health, as well as an alternative treatment collaboration for people involved with the criminal justice system. Health Solutions operates a 24/7 Crisis Living Room in Pueblo, offers mobile early intervention for people approaching a crisis, and provides telehealth sessions by video or phone. They accept Medicaid and private insurance, use a sliding fee scale based on income and family size, and do not turn anyone away for inability to pay.
