About Harmony Recovery Center
Harmony Recovery Center is a substance use and mental health treatment center in Charlotte, North Carolina, and part of the Harmony Health Group network of programs. They treat alcohol and drug addiction, including prescription drug misuse, alongside depression, anxiety, and co-occurring mental health conditions, and they build an individualized plan for each client. Their levels of care include partial hospitalization (known in North Carolina as SACOT), intensive outpatient, standard outpatient, and medication-assisted treatment, along with separate PHP and IOP tracks focused on mental health. They are accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the state to treat substance use disorders.
Their PHP is built for people stepping down from detox or entering care without needing it, pairing full days of programming in a clinical setting with an optional supervised, home-like residence in the evenings and transportation between the two. Clinical work includes individual, group, and family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma recovery, dual diagnosis care, and psychiatric and medical services, balanced by art, music, adventure, and outdoor therapies, yoga, and 12-step and spiritual groups. The IOP meets in either a morning (9 a.m. to noon) or evening (6 to 9 p.m.) block so clients can keep up with work or school, and it adds relapse prevention, biofeedback, and equine therapy. Case managers also help with aftercare planning, career and education goals, and legal or court-ordered treatment requirements.
