About Groups Recover Together

Groups Recover Together in Manchester, New Hampshire, is part of a national outpatient network focused on treating opioid use disorder. Since launching in 2014, they have paired medication for opioid use disorder, mainly Suboxone, with weekly group counseling and help with everyday needs, with the aim of reducing cravings, preventing overdose, and supporting long-term recovery. Their approach is nonjudgmental: relapse is treated as part of the process rather than a reason for punishment. Care is delivered on an outpatient basis, either in person at local offices or virtually through the Groups app.

Getting started is meant to be quick. New members meet virtually with a counselor and a physician, and many can begin Suboxone within about one business day, along with comfort medications to ease withdrawal when needed. Ongoing treatment centers on a one-hour weekly group session led by a licensed counselor, with evening, weekend, and online options, plus weekly confidential urine screens that guide care rather than trigger penalties. Members can also get help applying for insurance, finding housing or work, and arranging food, health care, and transportation. They accept most commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare, and offer discounted self-pay rates for people without coverage.
