Grossman & Grossman Ltd is an outpatient counseling practice in Gilbert, Arizona, with additional offices in Phoenix, Casa Grande, and Tucson. They provide trauma-informed therapy for clients from age three through adulthood, along with their families. Since 1984, they have worked with complex trauma, chronic behavior problems, serious mental illness, and substance use, using a strength-based approach in which clients help set their own goals and shape their treatment plans. Most sessions take place through statewide telehealth with limited in-office visits, and care can be stepped up to an intensive schedule of two to five sessions a week with a master’s-level therapist. Bilingual staff, including Spanish speakers, are available, and they accept AHCCCS Complete Care plans, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, and Aetna.

Their substance abuse counseling serves Maricopa, Pinal, Gila, and Pima counties through individual, family, and in-office group sessions, and some sessions can be held at home or in school settings. Therapists draw on CBT, DBT, self-regulation work, MRT, and the MET-CBT5 model, which focuses on personal goal setting, understanding decision-making, refusal skills, expanding social support, and planning for relapse and emergencies. Treatment begins with a client and family history and motivational interviewing to gauge readiness for change, and it may include the GAIN-Q3 assessment. Measurable goals are reviewed at least every 90 days, and discharge planning starts at the first session. Beyond addiction care, they offer EMDR and somatic trauma therapy, a triage stabilization program, psychiatric nurse practitioner services, and neuropsychological testing.
