About Frontier Health
Frontier Health is a community behavioral health organization serving Rogersville, TN, as part of a network of 65 facilities across 12 counties in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Alongside mental health, developmental disability, and children’s services, they treat alcohol and drug addiction for adults and teens. Their continuum includes detoxification, residential treatment, intensive outpatient, and standard outpatient care, and staff help callers figure out which level of care fits their situation. The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services rates them as a Co-occurring Enhanced provider, so substance use and mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression are treated together rather than separately.
For people with opioid use disorder, their Medication Assisted Recovery program offers buprenorphine (Suboxone), oral naltrexone, and long-acting injectable naltrexone (Vivitrol), paired with individual and group therapy, an intensive outpatient group, case management, and peer recovery support. The care team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, therapists, case managers, and certified peer recovery specialists, and the program follows evidence-based practices and federal and state guidelines. They accept TennCare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance, and grants can cover medication, therapy, labs, drug screens, transportation, and other services for qualifying uninsured or underinsured patients. Families concerned about a child or teen can access intensive outpatient and other outpatient treatment close to home, and free Spanish interpreting and a 24/7 mobile crisis line are also available.
