About Freedom Recovery Center

Freedom Recovery Center is a certified outpatient substance use disorder program in Owensville, Missouri, with a second location in Union. They work with people facing chemical dependency, co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, emotional struggles, and life crises, and each client’s treatment plan is built around individual needs and family well-being. Care begins with a scheduled drug and alcohol evaluation using standardized screening tools. From there, clients may enter a 24-week intensive outpatient program, a 12-week outpatient program, or a 12-week supported recovery group that meets once a week for three hours. They also offer SATOP services for Missouri traffic offenders.

The intensive and standard outpatient tracks each combine weekly group education, group counseling, and one-on-one sessions. Additional programs include anger management, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) in both a 9-week and a longer 13-week behavioral format, a 9-week trauma course focused on coping and forgiveness, and individual counseling. They also provide medication-assisted treatment, peer services, on-site drug testing and breathalyzer checks, and court-ordered misdemeanor probation supervision, which can be helpful for clients with legal requirements. Through an affiliated nonprofit, clients can be connected with Hope 4 Life recovery residences in Franklin and Gasconade counties, where Certified Peer Specialists oversee each home and financial help with rent, food, and essentials may be available.
