About Foundations Center

Foundations Center is a locally owned outpatient alcohol and drug treatment program in Loves Park, Illinois, serving people across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin, with a second location in Belvidere. Operating since 2003 and under new ownership since 2020, they focus heavily on DUI services and driver’s license reinstatement, offering care in both English and Spanish. Their approach centers on treating each person respectfully and without judgment, helping clients build self-awareness and live without misusing alcohol or other substances. Levels of care include DUI risk education, early intervention services, DUI Level II and Level III treatment, and Level III intensive outpatient treatment.

Beyond core DUI programming, they provide a relapse prevention program and drug and alcohol assessments for courts, DCFS, and employers, along with treatment for EAP referrals and CDL drivers who have failed drug tests. They also help clients respond to Secretary of State denial letters, offer optional AA-focused groups geared toward reinstatement hearings, and work with attorneys to prepare documentation for informal and formal hearings. Staff communicate with courts about attendance and progress and issue progress and completion letters, and they can assist with Wisconsin and other states’ requirements. Morning, evening, and Saturday sessions, flexible payment plans, and no waiting list make it easier to fit treatment around work and family obligations.
