About Foothills Academy Inc
Community Based Interventions is the outpatient counseling program of Foothills, Inc., with an office in Monticello, Kentucky, and a second location in Albany. Founded in 2013 to bring accessible treatment to the Lake Cumberland area, they offer both substance use and mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults. They are licensed by the state as an Alcohol and Other Drug Entity and a Behavioral Health Service Organization, are accredited by the Council on Accreditation, and are a state-approved DUI program. Care is delivered on an outpatient basis through assessments, counseling, classes, and groups.
Substance use treatment begins with an assessment by an independently licensed professional, followed by individual or group therapy, including weekly treatment groups. For people facing DUI charges, they provide certified DUI assessments, the evidence-based 20-hour Prime for Life course for first offenses, and treatment groups for those with multiple offenses. Licensed therapists also offer individual, family, and marriage counseling for concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief, along with 10-session parenting and anger management groups. Additional support includes DOT-certified urine and hair follicle drug testing, as well as targeted case management to help with budgeting, transportation, employment, and access to resources, and they accept Medicaid and some private insurance plans.
