About Fellowship House

Fellowship House is a not-for-profit psychosocial rehabilitation center in South Miami, Florida, serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness, including people who also struggle with substance use. Many of the people they serve live with conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depression, and their approach treats recovery as a partnership aimed at greater independence and community integration. Founded in 1973 on the clubhouse model, they now serve more than 1,000 members a year across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Their services include outpatient care, case management, residential treatment homes, and supported community housing.

Outpatient care includes assessment, treatment planning, and individual, group, and family therapy, while case managers help members connect with psychiatric care, healthcare, benefits, and educational or vocational opportunities. Club Fellowship, their member-run clubhouse, has members and staff working side by side to build skills and social connections, and employment services offer job coaching, placement, and ongoing workplace support. For people with more complex needs, multidisciplinary teams deliver intensive care in homes and community settings through Florida Assertive Community Treatment, forensic teams, re-entry support for people leaving incarceration, competency restoration training, and a Broward jail diversion program for non-violent felony charges. They accept referrals from providers, agencies, and families as well as self-referrals, and pregnant women seeking substance use treatment receive admission priority.
