About Farnum Center

Farnum Center, now operating as Behavioral Health Services by Easterseals NH, is an outpatient substance use treatment program in Manchester, New Hampshire, run as part of the statewide Easterseals NH organization. They work with adults from all walks of life, with particular attention to service members, Veterans, first responders, and their adult family members. Care is person-centered and trauma-informed, and the Manchester location offers individual substance use counseling, a 15-session intensive outpatient program (IOP), medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Services are covered by insurance or paid out of pocket, and grant funding through the state Bureau of Drug & Alcohol Services may help some clients.

Beyond core treatment, they conduct Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) evaluations and serve as an Impaired Driver Service Provider, which can matter for people with DUI-related requirements. Clients can also access case management and recovery support, and after an initial in-person visit many appointments can move to telehealth. Because substance use often overlaps with anxiety, depression, or trauma, the same team offers mental health counseling, including the Veterans Count program, whose clinicians are trained in military and public safety culture. A second site in Franklin provides individual substance use treatment in a quieter, more private setting.
