Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is an Illinois substance use treatment organization with a clinic in Harvey and a network of 18 locations across the state, drawing on more than 25 years of work in the field. They treat substance use disorders, including opioid and alcohol use disorders, along with co-occurring mental health conditions, using an evidence-based, harm reduction approach built on meeting people where they are. Every site accepts walk-ins without an appointment, and their statewide MAR NOW helpline connects people to medication through telehealth around the clock, while mobile vans bring naloxone, drug-checking, peer support, and on-the-spot treatment into communities. They help with transportation through rideshares and bus passes, and no one is turned away because of inability to pay or citizenship status, with case managers helping uninsured patients secure coverage while treatment begins.
