About Fall Creek Counseling
Fall Creek Counseling is an outpatient counseling provider in Indianapolis, Indiana, serving people with substance use concerns through education, intervention, and intensive outpatient treatment. They aim to keep care affordable and work with clients who have limited or no ability to pay. Because addiction treatment often requires frequent visits, they offer day, evening, and weekend hours, and new clients can attend walk-in orientation sessions in English, Spanish, or Burmese without an appointment. Services run out of several offices, with groups held on the west, south, and east sides of the city.
Their Intensive Outpatient Program is built for people with a clear pattern of compulsive drinking or drug use who can still manage daily routines and have some community support. Participants attend three sessions a week for eight weeks, working in groups to honestly assess their use and its consequences while learning motivational, cognitive-behavioral, and emotional-regulation strategies, followed by 12 weeks of weekly continuing care. For people who are at risk but haven’t developed a pattern of abuse, including many first-time offenders, they offer Prime for Life, a research-based education and intervention course available in 12-hour and 20-hour formats. They also run a 26- or 52-week Batterer’s Intervention Program led by an ICADV-certified facilitator, and all of their programs are offered in both English and Spanish.
