About Fall Creek Counseling
Fall Creek Counseling is an outpatient counseling provider in Indianapolis, Indiana, with groups running from westside, southside, and eastside offices. They focus on substance use treatment and education, and they also offer a batterer’s intervention program for people working on relationship violence. Affordability is a priority: they work with clients who have limited or no ability to pay, and they offer day, evening, and weekend hours because addiction treatment often requires frequent visits. New clients can attend a walk-in orientation without an appointment, with sessions offered in English, Spanish, and Burmese.
Their Intensive Outpatient Program is for people whose compulsive drinking or drug use is affecting their lives but who can still manage daily routines and have some community support. Participants attend three sessions a week for eight weeks, using motivational, cognitive-behavioral, and emotional-regulation strategies along with peer support for honest self-assessment, and then move into 12 weeks of weekly continuing care. For people at risk of problem use, including many first-time offenders, the research-based Prime for Life program teaches participants to recognize and reduce high-risk choices in a 12-hour or 20-hour course. The batterer’s intervention groups meet weekly for 26 or 52 weeks, are led by an ICADV-certified facilitator, and build emotional self-regulation and accountability, and all of these programs are available in both English and Spanish.
