About Fairfax/Falls Church Comm Servs Board
The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is the public behavioral health agency for Fairfax County, the City of Fairfax, and the City of Falls Church in Northern Virginia, with services reaching residents throughout the area, including Chantilly. They support people of all ages dealing with substance misuse, mental health concerns, and developmental disabilities, guided by the belief that everyone in the community deserves the support to live a healthy, fulfilling life. For substance use disorders, their care spans 24/7 medically supported detoxification at the Fairfax Detoxification Center, ongoing treatment, and recovery supports. They also offer round-the-clock emergency mental health services, with walk-in access at the Sharon Bulova Center for Community Health.
A central part of their addiction care is the Addiction Medicine Clinic, which provides medication for addiction treatment to adults seven days a week and accepts walk-ins on weekends. New clients typically begin with an assessment, a conversation with a clinician that helps match each person to the right kind of help, and walk-in assessment hours make it possible to start without a long wait. Beyond treatment, they run peer support and recovery services, counseling and crisis response for children, teens, and their families, and prevention programs on topics such as underage drinking. They also host free community trainings, including opioid overdose and naloxone education (REVIVE!) and QPR suicide prevention, so families can learn to respond in an emergency.
