About Fairfax/Falls Church Comm Servs Board
The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is the public behavioral health agency for Fairfax County, Virginia, and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church, serving residents across the area, including Chantilly. They help people facing substance misuse, mental health concerns, and developmental disabilities, guided by the goal that everyone in the community has the support they need to live a healthy, fulfilling life. For substance use disorders, they offer treatment, medically supported detoxification through the Fairfax Detoxification Center, which is open 24/7, and ongoing recovery supports.
Their Addiction Medicine Clinic provides medication for addiction treatment to adults seven days a week, with walk-in care available Friday through Sunday at the Sharon Bulova Center for Community Health. New clients typically begin with a walk-in assessment, a conversation with a clinician to figure out what kind of help fits best, and registration forms can be completed online beforehand. Because many people struggle with both substance use and mental health, the CSB also provides counseling, medication, crisis response, and peer support, along with dedicated services for children, youth, and families. They round out their care with 24/7 emergency mental health services, suicide prevention training, and free opioid overdose and naloxone (REVIVE!) education for families and community members.
