About Elevate CCBHC

Elevate CCBHC is a certified community behavioral health clinic in Waterloo, Iowa, offering mental health and substance use care to people across more than 20 Iowa counties. They follow a “no-walls” philosophy, meeting people at home, in the community, or at their clinic, and their care is person-centered, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and family-focused. Addiction treatment runs through their Strive Recovery program for adults and adolescents, with partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and standard outpatient levels of care. They also provide 24/7 mobile crisis response, youth crisis services, Assertive Community Treatment, and intensive residential support homes for adults with serious mental illness and intellectual disabilities.

Strive Recovery begins with a 12-day daily PHP, after which clients are reassessed to either step down to IOP or stay longer in PHP. IOP meets three days a week for three hours, and outpatient groups meet twice weekly for two hours. Programming includes individual counseling, which can be paired with a mental health therapist, along with family group counseling and peer support offered one-on-one or in groups. Clients also have access to psychiatric medication management and lab work from a nurse practitioner and nursing team, a peer-run drop-in center for people affected by addiction and mental illness and their families, OWI evaluations, and a harm reduction box outside the clinic.
