Elements at Crossing Healthcare is the outpatient drug and alcohol treatment arm of Crossing Healthcare in Decatur, Illinois, a community health center that also offers primary care, psychiatry, and behavioral health services. Their substance use program, now operating as Crossing Recovery Services, pairs medication-assisted recovery with counseling, structured recovery housing, and ongoing peer support. Care includes Level 1 and Level 2 SUPR-licensed treatment for residents living on campus, along with outpatient counseling for people with substance use disorders who live elsewhere. Because they sit within a larger health center, patients can also connect with medical and mental health care in the same system.
Their medication-assisted recovery program, overseen by a board-certified addiction medicine specialist, uses Suboxone and Vivitrol alongside counseling to ease cravings and lower overdose risk. The Recovery Living campus has 64 beds, including 16 apartments for a Pregnant and Parenting Program that gives mothers safe housing, prenatal care, parenting education, and child care while they work on recovery. Residents attend weekly treatment groups chosen with their case managers, and all patients can join on-site AA and NA meetings. After treatment, an alumni program led by Peer Recovery Specialists offers monthly sober events, recovery meetings, and help with housing and employment.
