About Easterseals MORC
Easterseals MORC is a Michigan nonprofit headquartered in Auburn Hills that has served people with disabilities and behavioral health needs since 1920, and substance use treatment is one part of their wider outpatient behavioral health work for adults, children, and families. Their recovery approach centers on giving people the skills, knowledge, and confidence to build lasting sobriety, with attention to mental health conditions that often accompany alcohol or drug use. Care levels include standard outpatient and intensive outpatient programs, supported by case management and recovery peer support. They accept most insurance plans, provide many services to uninsured and underinsured people, and run walk-in behavioral health urgent care in Southfield and Center Line regardless of diagnosis or insurance status.
Their intensive outpatient program is shaped around each person and runs 8 to 12 weeks of weekly sessions, with family support, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, and social support built in. Clinicians use evidence-based individual and family therapy for substance use alongside depression, PTSD, mild traumatic brain injury, and suicide risk, and co-occurring care treats mental health and addiction as linked conditions that both need attention. Peer Recovery Coaches who have lived through recovery themselves work with individuals and families, while case managers help resolve outside problems that can stall progress in treatment. They also offer early intervention, home- and community-based services, and Power of Choice groups, including versions for parents and youth.
