About Eastern Oregon Alcoholism Foundation
Eastern Oregon Recovery Center, formerly known as the Eastern Oregon Alcoholism Foundation, is a nonprofit residential treatment program in Pendleton, Oregon, that has served the region since 1960. They are licensed by the State of Oregon to provide inpatient care for adults with substance use disorders. Their work is grounded in a trauma-informed, strength-based philosophy aimed at helping people and their families build stability, independence, and a sense of purpose. They also offer a continuum of support that extends beyond the residential stay.
The residential program has 36 beds and serves both men and women. Treatment begins with a full biopsychosocial assessment based on ASAM criteria, which includes an in-depth interview, a urine screen, a search of belongings, and a review of referral records. Each client then works with staff to build their own treatment plan. After completing treatment, qualifying low-income graduates can move into alcohol- and drug-free transitional housing for individuals, single parents, and families, giving them time to settle into recovery, work toward personal goals, and reconnect with their community.
