About Cove Recovery LLC

Cove Recovery LLC, formerly J. David Collins and Associates, is an outpatient behavioral health provider with an office in Cambridge, Maryland, and three other locations on the Eastern Shore. They treat alcohol, opioid, heroin, cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, and marijuana use, along with co-occurring mental health conditions. Care starts with an assessment by a therapist or counselor, which guides the level of care and a treatment plan that changes as recovery progresses. Their levels of care include intensive outpatient, traditional outpatient, and medication-assisted treatment, and they also offer referrals to inpatient programs and telehealth services anywhere in Maryland.

Their addiction programming follows the Matrix Model, which combines cognitive behavioral work, motivational enhancement, twelve-step facilitation, psychoeducation, and group and family therapy. The intensive outpatient track involves nine hours of group therapy each week plus several individual sessions a month, and the traditional track offers a lighter schedule for people who need less support or are stepping down from IOP. Their medication-assisted program, Bridge to Abstinence, uses buprenorphine and Vivitrol, and Vivitrol can also be used for alcohol dependence. They also run a 12-hour alcohol education course that meets Maryland’s first-offender DUI requirements, a court-accepted eight-week anger management program, couples counseling, family education, and urine drug screening, and the organization holds CARF accreditation.
