About Counseling Clinic Inc

Counseling Clinic, Inc. is a private nonprofit community mental health center based in Benton, Arkansas, serving Saline County, Garland County, and the surrounding parts of Central Arkansas since 1973. They work from the belief that people can and do recover from both mental illness and addiction, and they center care on each person’s strengths while helping them make informed choices about their own treatment. Alongside an alcohol and substance abuse program, they treat depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, psychiatric disorders, and family and parenting difficulties. Their levels of care include adult outpatient services, adult day treatment, adult residential care in Hot Springs, youth residential services, and the Second Chance Youth Ranch group home.

Adults 18 and older can take part in individual, group, and family therapy, along with a range of skills groups grounded in evidence-based practices. Clinical services also include diagnostic assessments, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychological and educational testing, forensic evaluations, and emergency crisis intervention with referral. Their First Episode Psychosis program serves people ages 15 to 34 who have recently begun experiencing hallucinations or delusional thinking, pairing cognitive behavioral therapy from a licensed therapist with medication management from a psychiatric prescriber. They offer 24-hour access, a walk-in clinic at the Benton location, telehealth options, interpreters for other languages and for people who are hearing impaired, and they accept Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance.
