About Counseling and Recovery Center Inc
Counseling and Recovery Center, Inc. is a co-occurring, trauma-informed treatment agency in Fort Pierce, Florida, that has served adults with substance use and mental health disorders since 2000. Their care is voluntary and follows a whole-person approach, looking at lifestyle, environment, and family alongside substance use, with loved ones encouraged to take part. Services range from intervention screening and assessment to women’s residential and day treatment, outpatient individual and group counseling, medication-assisted treatment, and aftercare.
The women’s residential program runs in a standalone historic building with 24-hour care, and newborns up to one year old can stay with their mothers during treatment. Residents receive diagnostic evaluation, individual and family counseling, vocational programming, client advocacy, and case management, along with referrals to community resources. The women’s day treatment program is a multi-phase group therapy track that meets weekday mornings for at least four months, while the Family Intensive Treatment team provides in-home support to child welfare-involved families affected by parental substance use and mental health issues. They also offer MAT for alcohol and opioid addiction paired with counseling, psychiatric assessment, medication management, certified peer support, substance abuse education groups for men and women, transportation, and free interpreter services for clients who are deaf or hard of hearing.
