About Continuum Mental Care Corp

Continuum Mental Care Corp is an outpatient mental health center serving northeastern Puerto Rico, including Fajardo, with more than a decade of experience in managed behavioral health care. Alongside psychiatric and psychological care for adults and children as young as 3, they run a dedicated drug and alcohol program for patients of any age. The program serves people diagnosed with substance abuse, dependence, intoxication, withdrawal, or substance-induced disorders. Their interdisciplinary setup is designed so patients can access several types of treatment in a single visit.

The addiction program runs in two phases and lasts at least one year for those who complete both. Treatment includes buprenorphine for opioid use disorder, toxicology testing, case discussions, and addiction counseling, along with group and marital therapy. People facing legal pressure may find the program especially useful, since they provide official certificates of completion and adjustment and progress reports. Through an integrated care model, psychiatrists and general practitioners work together on both physical and mental health, and telemedicine visits are also available.
