About Consumer Care LLC

Consumer Care LLC is a behavioral health provider in Pocatello, Idaho, offering outpatient treatment for substance use disorders alongside mental health services, with particular attention to people facing both at once. Founded in 1999 by social worker Tania Kerr, they added a dedicated substance use program in 2013 and center their work on hope, acceptance, and the belief that lasting change is possible. Their services include individual and group therapy, partial care, case management, community-based rehabilitation, and peer support, all coordinated in one location. They also emphasize community, welcoming clients to stay connected whether they complete the curriculum or continue receiving support.

Clients in the substance use program meet weekly with one of three counselors trained in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Substance Abuse and Moral Reconation Therapy. Group offerings draw on Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Seeking Safety, Creative Change, trauma work, and process groups. Care is delivered by a team of licensed social workers, certified drug and alcohol counselors, peer specialists, and case managers who help connect clients with outside resources. Through partnerships with the Idaho Department of Correction and the 6th District diversion courts, they run the Life and Recovery Reconstruction program, which helps justice-involved individuals build pro-social skills and works alongside each participant’s probation officer.
