Congruent Counseling Services is a Maryland behavioral health practice with an office in Millersville, part of a network of locations across central Maryland, and they treat both mental health and substance use concerns. Their philosophy centers on treating the whole person, so addiction, co-occurring mental health conditions, and family dynamics are addressed together. Beyond substance use disorder, they work with depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, ADHD, and adjustment issues. Their main level of addiction care is a state-licensed, ACHC-accredited intensive outpatient program that meets three days a week for three hours a day, and telehealth is available statewide.

The IOP has separate tracks for teens ages 13 to 19, young adults ages 17 to 26, and adults 26 and older, combining group therapy, psychoeducation, individual sessions, family groups, and family counseling. Clinicians draw on CBT, ACT, DBT, Adlerian, person-centered, and solution-focused approaches, and they offer DBT-informed addiction treatment for people who have struggled in past programs. Through their sister practice, Integrative Counseling, clients can also access standard outpatient groups, relapse prevention, Suboxone or buprenorphine for opioid dependence with a dedicated opiate group, and court-recognized DUI/DWI education, including a 12-hour weekend program and a six-week class. The IOP accepts most major insurance plans as well as Medicaid.
