About Conexiones Integrated Acute Treatment
Conexiones is an inpatient withdrawal management and clinical stabilization program run by Casa Esperanza on the Tewksbury Hospital Campus in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Casa Esperanza has served Massachusetts Latine communities for decades with bilingual, culturally responsive behavioral healthcare. Conexiones combines Acute Treatment Services (ATS-Detox) and Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) in one unit, so adults can move from medically monitored detox into stabilization without changing programs. They serve Massachusetts residents 18 and older with alcohol or other substance use problems, including people with co-occurring mental health conditions and those for whom other treatment approaches haven’t worked.
Stays are set by individual need, usually about 5–7 days for detox and 14–21 days for stabilization, or roughly 19–28 days for people who complete both. Care brings together addiction, mental health, medical, and psychiatric treatment, with 24/7 on-site nursing, medications for opioid use disorder, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based individual and group counseling. Patients also have access to peer-led self-help groups, recovery coaching, case management, transportation support, and aftercare planning to prepare for the next step in care. Services are offered in Spanish and English, interpreters are available for other languages, and the approach is trauma-informed and grounded in Latine cultural practices.
