About Compassion Behavioral Health
Compassion Behavioral Health is a dual diagnosis treatment center in Hollywood, Florida, serving adults whose substance use is tangled up with depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health conditions. Their approach puts mental health first, working on the psychiatric issues that often drive drinking or drug use rather than treating addiction in isolation. They offer a full continuum of care: medically supervised detox, a 29-bed residential program with round-the-clock support, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and standard outpatient treatment. They accept most commercial insurance and verify coverage during a pre-admission assessment.
The clinical team is led by a medical director who is board-certified in both psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, and psychiatric nurse practitioners handle medication management and stabilization. Therapy draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, EMDR, Gestalt, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems, along with trauma-focused methods such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy and Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories. They also offer neurofeedback for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD symptoms, and family therapy so loved ones can take part in the process. Beyond addiction, they treat complex conditions including bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, OCD, and PTSD, and the intensive outpatient track provides at least 12 hours of structured treatment each week, with case management and recovery housing available for people stepping down from higher levels of care.
