Community Counseling Services is a state-accredited community behavioral health provider based in Huron, South Dakota, serving youth, adults, and families across Beadle, Lake, Miner, Moody, Hand, Jerauld, and Kingsbury counties. Clinical approaches include Moral Reconation Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy adapted for substance use, integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions, and Seeking Safety for people dealing with both addiction and PTSD. Adults with serious mental illness can receive case management, therapy, and daily living support through the CARE and IMPACT assertive community treatment programs, which also offer access to supportive apartments at the Bradfield-Leary Center. Psychiatric medication management is available by telemedicine from their Huron or Madison offices or from home, and on-call crisis consultation is available around the clock.
