The Counseling Center of Columbiana County, listed here as Columbiana County MH Center, is a private, not-for-profit behavioral health organization based in Lisbon, Ohio, that has served the county since 1963. They treat mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders, and their addiction program takes an abstinence-focused, multidisciplinary approach that addresses physical, psychological, social, and spiritual health. Care is available for both adolescents and adults, with support for family members, and it ranges from assessment and individual counseling to an intensive outpatient program and aftercare. Substance use services are offered at their Lisbon, East Liverpool/Calcutta, and Salem offices, and some groups also meet online.

Their intensive outpatient program runs four mornings a week and is completed in 16 sessions over about a month, either in Lisbon or online. Shorter structured groups fill in around it: Insight Group examines the effects of alcohol and drug use, Aftercare reinforces skills from IOP or from treatment completed elsewhere, and the R.E.A.C.H. group focuses on sustaining sobriety by building healthier habits and thinking patterns. Teens ages 14 to 17 can join a referral-only group covering peer pressure, triggers and coping skills, mindfulness, online safety, anger management, and relapse prevention. For people with both addiction and serious mental illness, they provide dual diagnosis case management and an Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment team grounded in motivational interviewing, along with naltrexone and other medication options, counseling for inmates at the county jail, and housing assistance for those who are homeless.
