About Columbia Wellness
Columbia Wellness is a nonprofit community behavioral health agency serving Grays Harbor and Cowlitz counties, with an office in Aberdeen, Washington, among several local sites. They have served the region since 1953 and operate as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, working toward care that addresses substance use, mental health, and primary care together. For addiction, they offer substance use assessments, outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment, co-occurring disorder care, and medically supported withdrawal management. Their 24/7 mobile crisis teams also respond to people of all ages in Grays Harbor and Cowlitz counties.
Their outpatient programs combine individual and group counseling with LifeSkills groups, psychiatric medication, and telehealth, and clinicians focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency model. Teens and young adults ages 13 to 20 can get substance use treatment, including help meeting court and probation requirements. Adults facing legal issues can access DUI and Department of Licensing assessments, Alcohol and Drug Information School, and deferred prosecution programs. For detox, their Wellness and Recovery Center in Longview has eight withdrawal management beds in private rooms, takes self-referrals and admissions around the clock, offers medication-assisted treatment and take-home naloxone, includes family education and discharge planning, and accepts Medicaid, Apple Health, and several commercial plans.
