About Clackamas Health Centers
Clackamas Health Centers’ Sandy Health Center is a county-operated community clinic in Sandy, Oregon, that brings primary medical care, dental care, and outpatient behavioral health services under one roof. Their behavioral health side includes outpatient substance use treatment for both adults and youth, alongside mental health care for people of all ages. Care is built around the patient, with counselors, medical providers, nurses, and family working together to strengthen a person’s own motivation to change. They accept Oregon Health Plan/Medicaid and Medicare, take commercial insurance for youth substance use treatment, and offer a county funding program for uninsured residents who qualify, and no one is turned away for inability to pay.
Adults can enroll in dedicated substance use and mental health treatment programs, and there is specialized support for adults living with severe and persistent mental illness. Young people and families have access to a youth substance use treatment program and a child and family mental health program. Clinical services include focused individual psychotherapy, group therapy with skill building, individual skills training, crisis intervention, medical evaluation and management, peer support, and case management that connects families with community resources. People enrolled in county mental health services can also join a supported employment program that helps them build the confidence and skills to find and keep steady work, and Spanish-speaking staff are available.
