About Central Florida Treatment Center

Central Florida Treatment Center in Stuart, FL, is one of eight clinics run by a Florida organization that has treated people dependent on heroin and prescription pain medication since 1983. They specialize in medication-assisted treatment for opioid and narcotic dependence, pairing medication with counseling so withdrawal and cravings don’t derail recovery. Each patient works with staff to build a personalized recovery plan that draws on their own strengths, with the goal of healing mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Patients receive their medication at the clinic, and dosing hours vary by location.

They offer three medication options: methadone, Suboxone, and Vivitrol. Counseling and behavioral therapy help patients recognize the triggers behind their cravings and develop healthier ways to cope, and the program stresses treating co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD alongside opioid dependence. The care team includes a board-certified medical director, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, master’s-level counselors, licensed mental health counselors, licensed clinical social workers, and certified addiction professionals. Plans accepted at all sites include TRICARE East, Community Care Plan, and First Health Network, and free American Sign Language and foreign-language interpreters are available for patients and companions who need them.
