About Central Florida Treatment Center

Central Florida Treatment Center in Fort Pierce is one of eight clinics in a regional network that has treated opioid addiction across Florida since 1983, serving people dependent on heroin, prescription pain medications, and other narcotics. They focus on medication-assisted treatment, using medication to ease withdrawal and cravings so patients can stabilize and work toward recovery. Each patient helps build their own treatment plan, and the program aims to support mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health while drawing on each person’s existing strengths.

Patients can receive methadone, Suboxone, or Vivitrol, and medication is paired with counseling to help them recognize triggers and develop healthier ways to cope. Care is overseen by a board-certified medical director, and the team also includes physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, licensed mental health counselors, clinical social workers, and certified addiction professionals. Community Care Plan, TRICARE East, and First Health Network are accepted at all of their clinics, and they provide free sign language interpreters, foreign-language interpreters, and other accessibility aids for patients who need them.
