About Centerstone

Centerstone is a nonprofit behavioral health system headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, providing mental health and substance use disorder treatment across Tennessee and several other states. They serve adults, children and families, and veterans and active-duty military, and they treat addiction to alcohol, opioids, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, and other substances. Their care plans are built on evidence-based practice informed by their own Research Institute. Their continuum of addiction care includes outpatient counseling, intensive outpatient programming, medication-assisted treatment, medically supervised inpatient detox, and residential treatment.

Their intensive outpatient program runs in day and evening formats with roughly 10 to 15 hours of individual and group work each week, letting adults keep up with home and work while in treatment. Medication-assisted treatment pairs FDA-approved medications with therapy for opioid and alcohol addiction, and their detox services for teens and adults include Suboxone, a medical exam, and lab work. Residential programs can serve pregnant women and people with co-occurring mental health conditions, and patients also have access to peer support specialists, case management, relapse prevention groups, and AA and NA meetings. For people who need psychiatric stabilization, their behavioral health hospital provides short-term inpatient care for conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and schizophrenia, along with individual, family, and group therapy and medication management.
