About Center Point Inc

Center Point, Inc. is a San Rafael, California–based organization that provides substance use disorder treatment as part of a wider set of social, educational, vocational, medical, and housing services for people affected by addiction, poverty, unemployment, and homelessness. Their philosophy centers on helping people build stability, self-reliance, productivity, and social responsibility, guided by a set of core values such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and commitment that clients are encouraged to practice. They treat both addiction and mental health concerns, offering standard outpatient services, intensive outpatient services, and ongoing recovery services. They also run residential services, criminal justice programs, and community behavioral health services.

In the outpatient programs, clients take part in a mix of individual and group counseling, with session length, frequency, and intensity set by an assessment of each person’s needs. Beyond reducing substance use, these programs work toward educational and vocational goals, family reunification, and long-term well-being. Recovery services are available during or after treatment and don’t require a set period of abstinence. They include recovery coaching and monitoring, relapse prevention through alumni groups and recovery events, and connections to job training, childcare, parenting education, faith-based support, housing assistance, transportation, and case management. Their outpatient programs are certified by the California Department of Health Care Services.
