The Center for Counseling and Consultation is a community behavioral health clinic in Great Bend, Kansas, serving the surrounding four-county region since 1968, with satellite offices in Larned, Lyons, and Stafford. Alongside therapy, crisis care, and mental health support for children, adults, and seniors, they run a dedicated substance use program built on meeting people where they are with compassion and accountability. Their substance use services include evaluations to determine the right level of care, outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programming (IOP), social detox, and reintegration support. As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, they use a sliding fee scale so cost doesn’t keep anyone from getting help, and walk-in substance use appointments are available Monday through Thursday mornings.

Counseling is provided by licensed dual diagnosis counselors, and their co-occurring treatment pairs substance use care with mental health support for issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma, using therapy, skill-building, and relapse prevention. They offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid and alcohol use disorders, combining FDA-approved medications with counseling and ongoing monitoring. Group counseling led by trained substance use professionals meets Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and smoking cessation support is available individually or in groups. They also provide confidential one-on-one gambling treatment with a Certified Gambling Counselor, covering concerns ranging from sports betting and online gaming to lottery and casino play.
