About Center for Counseling and Wellness

The Center for Counseling and Wellness is a nonprofit outpatient counseling practice based in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with additional offices elsewhere in Horry County. They help people work through addiction alongside mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual struggles, taking a holistic view of how these areas affect one another. A core part of their mission is making care reachable regardless of ability to pay, so they accept many insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, offer a sliding fee scale, and also see clients without insurance.

Services include individual counseling, family counseling, group counseling, and educational groups, along with premarital and marital counseling for couples affected by substance use or other challenges. Their team of master’s-level licensed counselors and social workers, supported by associates and interns, brings specialties in addictions, trauma recovery, marriage and family work, and play therapy for children. Flexible hours and multiple locations can make it easier to keep up with regular sessions while managing work and family responsibilities.
