About Centennial Peaks Hospital
Centennial Peaks Hospital is a behavioral health hospital in Louisville, Colorado, northwest of Denver, treating adults with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or both. For people in early recovery, they offer medically supervised detox from alcohol and other drugs, with 24-hour nursing care and medication management over a stay that usually runs three to seven days. Adults in psychiatric crisis can receive acute inpatient stabilization, and step-down partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care are delivered through Branches, the hospital’s outpatient service. Planning for life after treatment starts at admission and may lead into partial hospitalization, outpatient programming, or other community resources.
The Substance Use Disorder IOP is built around Hazelden’s evidence-based Living in Balance curriculum and addresses co-occurring conditions alongside addiction. Their approach is recovery-oriented without being tied to AA, and they encourage participation in community support groups during treatment while weaving in nutrition, self-care, and leisure to support lasting lifestyle change. The program meets three times a week for three hours across six weeks, with daytime and evening tracks so people can keep working. Other options include a mental health IOP drawing on DBT and ACT, a five-day-a-week adult PHP with medication management and individual therapy, a PHP for young adults ages 18 to 24, a program for severe and persistent mental illness, and electroconvulsive therapy on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
