About Casa Esperanza Inc
Casa Esperanza is a Roxbury, Massachusetts, behavioral health organization that has served Latine communities for more than 40 years, offering bilingual, culturally responsive addiction and mental health care in Spanish and English. They help adults and families recover from substance use disorders, co-occurring mental illness, trauma, and related struggles such as homelessness, using an integrated CasaCare Model that brings behavioral health and primary care together in one place. Their continuum includes medically monitored detox and clinical stabilization, long-term men’s residential treatment, a Structured Outpatient Addiction Program, and peer recovery support. They will not turn away patients who are unable to pay.
Their Conexiones program, located on the Tewksbury Hospital Campus, combines acute withdrawal management (ASAM 3.7) and clinical stabilization (ASAM 3.5) in a single unit, with 24/7 nursing, medications for opioid use disorder, psychopharmacology, evidence-based counseling, and aftercare planning; a combined stay typically lasts 19 to 28 days. In Roxbury, the Casa Men’s Program is a free, trauma-informed 6- to 9-month residential home for men, including those leaving incarceration, without stable housing, or living with HIV or serious mental illness, and it pairs medication management and therapeutic groups with life-skills training, parenting education, and family reunification support. Their Mi Camino peer program adds free recovery coaching, navigation, leadership development, transportation, and sober cultural and social events for adults with substance use or co-occurring conditions.
