About Canyonlands Healthcare

Canyonlands Healthcare is a nonprofit, federally qualified community health center network with a clinic serving the Littlefield area of northwestern Arizona, along with other locations across Arizona and Nevada. Founded in 1973 with a single medical center in Page, they now offer primary, dental, and behavioral healthcare under one roof, including outpatient treatment for alcohol and opioid use disorders. Their approach treats addiction as a disease rather than a personal failing, and they pair medication with counseling so people can work toward lasting recovery. Care is available regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

Their addiction services center on medication-assisted treatment, using buprenorphine, Suboxone or Subutex, naltrexone, and Vivitrol to ease withdrawal and reduce cravings, and they provide free Narcan for overdose reversal. Counseling focuses on making healthy decisions, handling stress and setbacks, and working through the life issues that often fuel substance use, such as low self-worth, trouble at home or work, and relationships with people who still use. Patients can self-refer without a provider’s referral, and same-day appointments are available. Financial counselors can also help with Arizona Medicaid (AHCCCS) and Marketplace enrollment, which can make starting treatment easier for anyone uninsured or underinsured.
