About Canyonlands Healthcare
Canyonlands Healthcare is a nonprofit, federally qualified community health center with a clinic in Globe, Arizona, part of a network that began in 1973 and now serves communities across Arizona and Nevada. Alongside primary, dental, and behavioral health care, they offer outpatient treatment for alcohol and opioid use disorders, folding addiction care into the same place many patients already go for their everyday health needs. Their approach treats addiction as a disease rather than a personal failing, and their services are open to everyone regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
Their recovery program centers on medication-assisted treatment, which pairs medications such as buprenorphine, Suboxone, Subutex, naltrexone, and Vivitrol with counseling to ease withdrawal, reduce cravings, and create room for lasting change. Counseling focuses on building motivation, handling stress and setbacks, and working through the circumstances that often feed substance use, such as low self-worth, strain at home or work, and relationships with people who are still using. People can refer themselves without seeing a medical provider first, same-day appointments are available, and free Narcan is offered for overdose reversal. Financial counselors can also help patients enroll in AHCCCS or Marketplace coverage.
