About BrightView Health

BrightView Health in Dover, Ohio, is part of a network of outpatient addiction treatment centers that combine medication, counseling, and social support in a judgment-free setting. They approach addiction as a medical disease and treat each patient as a person, with care for opioid, fentanyl, heroin, alcohol, stimulant, methamphetamine, sedative, and marijuana use. Treatment is outpatient, including medically supported detox built into a personalized plan, and telehealth is available. Weekday walk-ins are welcome, and many patients start medication and counseling within hours of their first contact, including people returning to care after a relapse.

Medication-assisted treatment is central to their program. For opioid use disorder, options include buprenorphine (Suboxone and Sublocade), naltrexone (Vivitrol), and methadone through an opioid treatment program. For alcohol use disorder, they offer naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram. Medication is paired with individual and group counseling using cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy, and relapse-prevention skills, and they also prescribe medication for co-occurring mental health conditions. Case managers help with housing, employment, transportation, legal aid, and insurance. Patients also get naloxone education and other harm-reduction support, families are included when appropriate, and pregnant patients can receive medical oversight, with Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance accepted.
