About Bridgeway Inc
Bridgeway Inc is a nonprofit behavioral health organization serving Kewanee, Illinois, and communities across more than 20 counties in the state. They have offered services since 1993 for people facing substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and developmental disabilities, with an emphasis on care built around each person’s own goals. Their substance use program begins with assessments for both adolescents and adults struggling with alcohol or drug use. Treatment is delivered on an outpatient basis, including an intensive outpatient program.
Care for substance use centers on group therapy, educational services, and outpatient interventions that can involve family members as well as the person in treatment. They also conduct DUI evaluations, which is useful for anyone with legal requirements tied to an arrest. People with co-occurring mental health concerns can access outpatient therapy in individual, couples, family, or group formats, along with psychiatry and nurse-provided medication management, offered in person or by video. For young people between 14 and 40 who have experienced a first episode of psychosis, they run a specialized program combining counseling, psychiatric care, family education, and support for returning to work or school.
