About Brantwood FS LLC

Brantwood Family Services in Elkton, Maryland, offers residential substance use disorder treatment designed specifically for pregnant and parenting women. Their care is family-centered, so mothers can work on recovery while caring for their children rather than being separated from them. They provide two residential levels of care, ASAM Level 3.3 medium-intensity and Level 3.1 low-intensity. Admission is open to adult women with a primary substance use disorder who are medically stable, past acute withdrawal, at risk of relapse without a structured setting, and enrolled in or eligible for Maryland Medicaid.

In the Level 3.3 program, women take part in daily clinical and therapeutic sessions that focus on stabilizing, reducing relapse risk factors, learning relapse prevention skills, and supporting mental wellness. A central part of this work is learning to balance the demands of parenting with recovery, and the pace is intentionally slower to make room for childcare. Women can then step down to Level 3.1, where counseling, intensive case management, vocational services, and peer support help them hold onto their progress and prepare for more independent living. The program is set on a quiet former golf course, and applicants complete a level of care assessment before signing pre-admission consent forms.
