About Braden Counseling Center

Braden Counseling Center in Rochelle, Illinois, is one of six offices of an outpatient mental health and counseling practice that has served Northern Illinois since 2002. They offer outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) substance use treatment for adults struggling with alcohol, opioids, stimulants, marijuana, prescription medications, or multiple substances. Because they see substance use as closely tied to stress, trauma, and mental health, they treat co-occurring anxiety, depression, and PTSD as part of the same plan. Clients come through self-referral, family or professional referral, DUI programs, court orders, early intervention, and relapse prevention.

Care starts with an intake visit where client and counselor set goals and choose individual sessions, group work, or both. Treatment draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, harm-reduction strategies, and relapse-prevention planning, and IOP groups meet over a secure telehealth platform, with office space available for anyone lacking reliable internet. They also handle same-day DUI evaluations, risk education, and driver’s license reinstatement services, and their outpatient program works well as a step-down after inpatient or residential treatment. Beyond addiction counseling, they provide EMDR for trauma, Deep TMS, Spravato for treatment-resistant depression, psychiatric medication management, SMART Recovery, and couples and family counseling, with sliding-scale fees and a free initial consultation.
