About Blackberry
Blackberry, in Louisa, Kentucky, is part of the Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) network, which provides Christian-based, holistic treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders across Eastern and Central Kentucky. ARC aims to treat mind, body, and spirit, combining clinical, medical, spiritual, and vocational support. Across the network, their continuum includes supervised detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient services, and medication-assisted treatment. They are CARF-accredited, licensed by the state of Kentucky, and accept several Kentucky Medicaid plans, including Aetna, Anthem, Humana, Passport by Molina, United Healthcare Community Plan, and WellCare.
ARC’s program moves clients through phases, starting with high- and low-intensity residential care (ASAM Levels 3.5 and 3.1) and then partial hospitalization (Level 2.5). During this phase, clients receive individual and group counseling, a personalized treatment plan, around-the-clock support, and AA, NA, and Celebrate Recovery meetings. Afterward, clients and their treatment team choose next steps such as IOP, a Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program for adults with serious mental illness, or Comprehensive Community Support Services, often paired with peer support in sober living. Later phases focus on practical life skills, including financial literacy, parenting, independent living, and transportation planning, along with education and workforce opportunities to help people build stable lives after treatment.
