Biomed Behavioral Health Services is an outpatient opioid treatment program in Roseville, Michigan, with a second clinic in Flint. Family physician Dr. McCarroll founded them in 1999 after seeing how few options existed for opioid treatment in southeastern Michigan, and his son Sean McCarroll now leads the organization. They pair medication-assisted treatment with counseling to address opioid use disorder, and each patient’s plan is built around their individual strengths, needs, and goals. Care includes daily medication dosing, individual and group counseling, and intensive outpatient sessions.

Their clinicians draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and a strengths-based model, and mental health services are available alongside addiction care. They also offer AcuDetox, a five-point ear acupuncture protocol used to ease cravings, withdrawal, and anxiety, which they often combine with individual therapy or mindfulness groups. As a registered Opiate Health Home, they can write prescriptions when needed, arrange rides to the clinic through peer recovery coaches, and provide family support and transitional care, along with help navigating social services and access to vaccines. They accept Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, state-funded plans, and self-pay.
