About Bee Cave Recovery

Bee Cave Recovery is a community-based nonprofit addiction treatment center in Austin, Texas, offering intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) for adults struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. They approach addiction as a disease rather than a moral failing, and their work centers on helping clients uncover the root causes of their substance use and begin healing from underlying trauma and shame. The center was started by two founders who together have more than 40 years of sobriety, and they keep costs affordable while offering scholarships and grant funding to people who can’t otherwise pay for treatment.

Their program follows a 12-Step model, beginning with the first three steps and placing heavy emphasis on relapse prevention, with members held accountable and encouraged to stay connected to AA and NA fellowship. Alongside IOP, they provide individual counseling, family counseling, meditation, and aftercare groups to support people once the core program ends. Programming runs on a hybrid model that combines virtual and in-person sessions, which can make it easier to fit treatment around work and family obligations.
